Why a NFT Literary Project?

crashanddash

Is it all a scam? All a Ponzi? In short, No. Are there projects like that? Yes. This is not one of them.

Web3 makes me feel like anything is possible. There are new tools, more global markets and groups of builders trying to forge new paradigms for creators. Over the years I have tried to work on this writing project it has morphed from a graphic novel/comic book type setup, to a novel and now to an illustrated, literary NFT. "Literary" might be lofty, let me be clear about the genre; this project is firmly in the fantasy, young-adult realm.

Anything is possible anywhere. Yes, but publishing is a big business and its not always the best bet to take chances on new authors. Building a community around story in Web3 felt like the right move. There is a lot of talent moving into the space experimenting with the new tools.

What are these new tools? Smart contracts for one allow for a more personal and inclusive way of sharing with the community that engages with any project. Purchasing the NFT through MetaMask allows the project to 'airdrop' the buyer with limited edition novel covers, allows for specific 'traits' in the mint that can increase engagement and so much more. AI image generation has been such a fun tool to work with and has allowed me to add incredible art that brings the story's words to life. The team at Season of Shadows hopes you think so too.
